Exterior Built in 1850 as an Hotel by Baldry, the official photographer of Thirlmere when it was constructed as a reservoir to provide the city of Manchester with water.

The building and car park are now illuminated by just 63W of LEDs reducing light pollution, environmental impact and conserving energy.
